The line could be very blurry at times and I know a lot of people have very good answers atheists for example will say anything is a cult. Usually, the general consensus with most Christians are the main branches of Protestantism orthodoxy And Catholicism are religions where something like Christian science Scientology, Mormonism, and Jehovah’s Witness are cults
.
The fundamental reason why heresies arise in this world is that, because people serve God together with the world and with material things, every kind of corruption, heresy, and falsehood has been exalted into doctrines treated as the Word and even as God Himself. Therefore, every religion that endlessly repeats sin is 100% heresy. And I would also like to ask you this ; for what purpose do you truly believe in God? No matter what religion you believe in, what matters most is for what purpose you believe in God. Is it not perhaps a foolish faith of empty repentance—sinning, repenting, and yet turning back again to commit sin within the evil habit of endlessly repeating sin? Is your faith perhaps not the beautiful faith found in the abundant liberality and overflowing thanksgiving of Christ—being born again, transformed, and set free from sin as the Scripture says—but rather a carnal faith that always lives in resentment, despair, anxiety, and discouragement?
Instead of following the beautiful sacrificial love of Christ, who laid down even His own life, and the holy will of God, religionists today pursue only their own happiness, success, ideals, and prosperity. Their lifelong faith is merely one of hearing, so that they, no different from the people of the world, take common acts of social service, kindness, and charity—which anyone can do—and pretend as though these are the love of the cross, as though they are sacrifices of life itself. In doing so, they have made themselves a laughingstock before all other religions that worship false gods. The form of today’s Religionists is one of cunning duplicity: acting differently inside and outside the church, being different in appearance and in heart, in word and in deed. Most of them have only developed deceitful and hypocritical ways of life—pretending to be holy, pretending to be kind, pretending to be gentle, pretending to be humble, pretending to be good.
This is the appearance of religionists who cannot escape the human limitation of endlessly repeating sin until death, and this is the limitation of Religions itself. All religions and Christianity were not made by God, but by men for their own selfish desires and lusts. Therefore, even until today, within Christianity there has not appeared a single person who has shown even the power, the evidence, the faith, or the fruit as small as a grain of mustard seed.
Those who have not even a mustard seed of faith, who cannot help but repeat sin until death, are children of the devil. Yet they claim themselves to be children of God, true Christians, shepherds of God, receivers of the Holy Spirit, speakers in tongues, workers of power, prophets, or witnesses. They rationalize the signs and wonders of demons—the very phenomena found among shamans and false religions who serve other spirits, never found in the Scriptures—as though they were from God, as though from Christ, as though from the Holy Spirit. In truth, what works within them is according to the wages of their sin, according to what they have harbored in their hearts. They do not even realize that it is demons acting as though they were God or Christ. They are blind guides leading the blind.
Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their heart, and put the stumblingblock of their iniquity before their face: should I be inquired of at all by them? Therefore speak unto them, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Every man of the house of Israel that setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to the prophet; I the LORD will answer him that cometh according to the multitude of his idols; That I may take the house of Israel in their own heart, because they are all estranged from me through their idols. Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Repent, and turn yourselves from your idols; and turn away your faces from all your abominations. For every one of the house of Israel, or of the stranger that sojourneth in Israel, which separateth himself from me, and setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to a prophet to inquire of him concerning me; I the LORD will answer him by myself: And I will set my face against that man, and will make him a sign and a proverb, and I will cut him off from the midst of my people; and ye shall know that I am the LORD. And if the prophet be deceived when he hath spoken a thing, I the LORD have deceived that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand upon him, and will destroy him from the midst of my people Israel.(Ezekiel 14 : 3~9)
…Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Repent, and turn yourselves from your idols; and turn away your faces from all your abominations. And if the prophet be deceived when he hath spoken a thing, I the LORD have deceived that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand upon him, and will destroy him from the midst of my people Israel. And they shall bear the punishment of their iniquity: the punishment of the prophet shall be even as the punishment of him that seeketh unto him; That the house of Israel may go no more astray from me, neither be polluted any more with all their transgressions; but that they may be my people, and I may be their God, saith the Lord GOD.(Ezekiel 14 : 4~11)
Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest? For all those things hath mine hand made, and those things have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word. He that killeth an ox is as if he slew a man; he that sacrificeth a lamb, as if he cut off a dog’s neck; he that offereth an oblation, as if he offered swine’s blood; he that burneth incense, as if he blessed an idol. Yea, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations. I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not.(Isaiah 66 : 1~4)
Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant. Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.(1 Corinthians 12 : 1~2)
Among religionists, they teach communion with spirits as though it were receiving the Holy Spirit; they call incantations and sorcery that summon spirits “tongues”; they call fortune-telling and divination “prophecy”; they call every kind of demonic wonder “the miracles of God.” And because they serve God together with the world and material wealth, their prayers—being for nothing but worldly ideals, hopes, happiness, blessings—are prayers for lust in which demons must inevitably work. Thus those who seek the world receive the god of this world; those who seek wealth receive the god of wealth; those who seek lust receive the god of lust; those who seek carnal passion receive carnal passion—as if such were God, or Christ, or an angel, disguised and masquerading. For clear evidence, more than a hundred Scripture passages written in this piece will testify.
A faith that is not measured by Scripture but believes by one’s own thoughts, claims, standards, and judgments is, in effect, saying that the self is the Word, the Christ, and God. Repentance is begin by bringing our lives—bound to repeat sin until death—into the light of the Word to expose what is wrong. Repentance that still repeats sin is worthless. The very purpose of repentance is the repentance of new birth, in which one no longer commits sin. Therefore, whoever goes on repeating sin, whoever they may be, is not a true Christian. A true Christian does not commit sin; the children of God, having been set free from sin, do not sin.
We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not. And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.(1 John 5 : 18~19)
Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him. Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.(1 John 3 : 5~10)
All religions are made by man. Therefore, because they are human religions, they can never go beyond the limits of man. Christianity, too, is a human religion created by the royal authority of Rome for the purpose of religious rule. Thus, all religionists today are nothing more than those who cannot escape the human limitation of endlessly repeating sin, never showing even the power, the evidence, or the fruit as small as a grain of mustard seed.
Truth is the wisdom of God in which the power of God works. The Word declares that the one who commits sin belongs to the world, and the one who continues in sin is a child of the devil. You also are not a true Christian, and that is why today’s result has come about. Do not remain a religionist who, until death, cannot help but repeat sin and is no different from the people of the world, but become a true Christian who lives the life of Christ, aiming for the hope of Christ, and who grows to resemble the beautiful character of God.
Only by coming out of the path of sin, where sin can only be endlessly repeated, can one be healed of disease and live a life that receives the power and beauty of love.
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.(2 Timothy 3 : 16~17)
If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.(1 Timothy 4 : 6)
For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.(Titus 2 : 11~15)
Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.(Romans 6 : 16~18)
The shepherd of God leads with the truth that guides one to obtain the power of God, so that they may escape from the path of sinners. He leads them to receive the truth of God’s power that puts to death the evil habits and members which inevitably repeat sin, in order that they may become the good people of God.
…Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.(Titus 2 : 11~15)
I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran: I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied. But if they had stood in my counsel, and had caused my people to hear my words, then they should have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings.(Jeremiah 23 : 21~22)
Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him; Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.(James 5 : 19~20)
Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin; That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.(1 Peter 4 : 1~2)
For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.(Romans 8 : 19~21)
A life that follows the love of God, bearing one’s own cross and aiming for the hope of Christ, does not harbor the lusts that inevitably lead to repeated sin, and therefore must be clothed in purity; this is the hope of salvation and the blessed hope. Depending on what you serve for, your life is determined—whether you become a servant of goodness and righteousness by following the love of God, or if you pursue only your own happiness, success, hope, and ideals, following your lusts, serving God together with the world and material things, then your life is determined by this: you will deny the love of Christ and, by chasing after every kind of corruption, heresy, evil, and falsehood, be left with a carnal faith for the flesh—a faith that makes you no better than one who casts aside the holy name of God, condemned to repeat sin until the day you die. Faith that does not follow the love of Christ relies only on intellect and head, trusting in oneself; thus such people, on the path of sinners who cannot but repeat sin until death, merely raise their own voices. Though they have no power, testimony, or fruit even as small as a mustard seed of faith, they act as if they have received the Holy Spirit, as if they have received the power of God, as if they were prophets, or as if they had the gift of tongues—yet they do not realize that before God they have become His greatest adversaries and enemies.
And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.(Romans 5 : 3~5)
But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.(Ephesians 4 : 15~16)
…That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.(Ephesians 3 : 15~19)(Luke 14 : 26~27)
