There is not a single church or pastor today who teaches about the Holy Spirit simply, briefly, and clearly. I can state this firmly and definitively for a reason: because within today’s Christianity, among churches, pastors, and believers, there is an overwhelming prevalence of a false Holy Spirit, without any manifestation of the true testimony and fruits of the Holy Spirit grounded in the Word of God.

In other words, there is an abundance of words and theories based merely on human interpretations and explanations, but in reality, the true fruits and evidence of the Holy Spirit, grounded in the Scriptures, are clearly absent among today’s churches, pastors, and believers. The actual entity of the Holy Spirit taught and learned by countless churches, pastors, and believers today is not the Holy Spirit testified by the Word of God. Instead, it is indistinguishable from the divination, powers, signs, and sorceries possessed by spirit mediums or shamans who serve false gods, falsely labeled as the Holy Spirit, gifts, tongues, and prophecy.

Because such churches, pastors, and believers, governed by a false Holy Spirit—which cannot be found anywhere in the examples of Scripture—are rampant, corruption upon corruption and heresy upon heresy continue to arise endlessly.

The Holy Spirit can only be clearly and unmistakably explained by someone who has truly and fully received the Holy Spirit. Therefore, the Holy Spirit belongs to the realm of God, the realm of the divine, and it cannot be understood through human ability, intellect, or intelligence. It is not something that can be overcome or known by human ideals or limitations. Yet today, because worldly scholarship has replaced the true anointing, countless pastors and theologians claim, each according to their own preferences, to fully understand and teach everything about the Holy Spirit—the Spirit of God—without ever having received it themselves. This is the current reality of churches and pastors in Christianity today.

Thus, countless PhDs in theology and pastors have authored and published innumerable books under the theme of the Holy Spirit, but most of these are not grounded in the Word of God as their foundation and standard. Rather, they use a few scattered verses to forcibly piece together interpretations and explanations according to their own tastes.

Because they have not actually received the true Holy Spirit of God, they rely on other books, common knowledge, or borrowed arguments in their teaching and writing. As a result, their interpretations and explanations, which vary wildly according to their own preferences, are all inconsistent. Though there are hundreds of millions who claim to have received the Holy Spirit—both teachers and learners—there is not even a single individual who truly manifests the fruits and evidence of the Holy Spirit grounded in the Scriptures.

Thus, every believer’s conscience have been brought before this reality. It is time to turn back to the Word, examine it thoroughly and impartially, and discern right from wrong with careful and sober judgment.

The fruits claimed to be the fruits of the Holy Spirit today are not grounded in the content of Scripture but are each according to individual preferences. Without exception, they either contradict the contents of Scripture or cannot be found anywhere in its examples. In fact, what is being displayed as the fruits and evidence of the Holy Spirit within churches and pastors is no different from the principles of divination and sorcery practiced by those who serve false spirits.

Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not: but prophesying serveth not for them that believe not, but for them which believe. If therefore the whole church be come together into one place, and all speak with tongues, and there come in those that are unlearned, or unbelievers, will they not say that ye are mad? But if all prophesy, and there come in one that believeth not, or one unlearned, he is convinced of all, he is judged of all: And thus are the secrets of his heart made manifest; and so falling down on his face he will worship God, and report that God is in you of a truth.(1 Corinthians 14 : 22~25)

Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy. For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries. But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort. He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church. I would that ye all spake with tongues, but rather that ye prophesied: for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying.(1 Corinthians 14 : 1~5)

As stated in the above Scripture, speaking in tongues is a sign for unbelievers. Therefore, we are to earnestly desire and seek prophecy, which is a sign for believers. However, today, many churches, including large ones, compete with one another, disregarding this Scripture, and teach that speaking in tongues is a sign of receiving the Holy Spirit. As a result, most believers who speak in tongues uniformly consider it a sign, evidence, and fruit of the Holy Spirit.

This stems from pastors, armed with human knowledge and common sense, who lack the anointing and the true sign or evidence of receiving the Holy Spirit. To rationalize their own lack of receiving the Holy Spirit, they lead believers to think that through forgiveness of sins and being born again, they have received the Holy Spirit and attained salvation. This is largely a means to fulfill their selfish desires by gathering more believers, resulting in detestable fruits and false evidence.

Anointing is God’s everything—that is, the wisdom and power to fully comprehend all of God’s providence, ideals, and values from creation to the day of judgment. The Holy Spirit is the way of comprehending all things, the Spirit of God who fully knows all of God’s providence and ideals from creation to the day of judgment. In other words, the Spirit that thoroughly knows and understands all the ideals, providence, and values that God created and governs is the Spirit of God.

This is what is called anointing and the Holy Spirit. If we say this, there would hardly be anyone on earth who could claim to have received the Holy Spirit or the anointing. According to the Scriptures, if someone has received the Holy Spirit, who comprehends all things, they would not need to prepare sermons by consulting countless human commentaries, interpretations, or writings that resemble a library.

For those who have received the Holy Spirit and the anointing, it is entirely natural to possess the wisdom to fully comprehend all of God’s creation, providence, and ideals, relying solely on the Word of Scripture without consulting human writings or books. However, in truth, as the Scripture below states, there has not been a single person, not even once, who has been heard or seen to have truly received the Holy Spirit.

But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.(1 Corinthians 2 : 10)

But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.(1 John 2 : 27)

Who hath directed the Spirit of the LORD, or being his counseller hath taught him? With whom took he counsel, and who instructed him, and taught him in the path of judgment, and taught him knowledge, and shewed to him the way of understanding?(Isaiah 40 : 13~14)

But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.(1 John 2 : 20)

If you ask, “Have you received the Holy Spirit who fully comprehends all of God’s creation, providence, ideals, and mysteries?” there is not a single pastor on this earth who can definitively answer. So why is it that a counterfeit Holy Spirit, devoid of evidence, fruit, or results based on this Scripture, is rampant throughout the world and in all churches?

Will you believe in the Holy Spirit who comprehends all things, as grounded in the truth of Scripture? Or will you continue to believe in the false Holy Spirit, contrary to the Scripture’s description of the Spirit who comprehends all things, promoted by churches and pastors who lack fruit and evidence? The choice is yours. However, be reminded that on the day when accountability is demanded, a day of judgment and destruction beyond imagination awaits to exact the price for this choice.

Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.(John 14 : 17)

If you are asked, “Do you possess the Spirit of God, the source of love who comprehends all things and governs all things?” and you cannot confidently declare, with a clear conscience and without a hint of shame, that you possess the Spirit of truth, the source of love who comprehends all things, then it is undoubtedly a false Holy Spirit, a false gift, a false repentance, and a false rebirth.

They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.(1 John 4 : 5~6)

Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus: Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.(Colossians 1 : 26~29)

Attempting to serve God while being entangled with the world and material things inevitably leads to corruption, adding lawlessness, falsehood, and deceit. Such people possess the spirit of the world, lacking the fruit and evidence of the Holy Spirit. Instead, they embrace the detestable and perverse practices of shamans or spiritists who serve idols, drawing in abominable anointing and a perverse Holy Spirit through their detestable sorcery, divination, and witchcraft.

Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us. Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit. And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world. Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. We love him, because he first loved us. If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.(1 John 4 : 7~21)

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God, and God is love. Therefore, the spirit of those who do not follow the hope of Christ, born of the love of the cross, is a dead faith. It is the spirit of the world masquerading as the Holy Spirit, the tongues and prophecies of Satan and demons. Those who try to serve God while entangled with the world and material things can never receive the Holy Spirit.

This is because God desires to make us perfect children of God, aiming for us to become worthy of salvation by following the love of the cross and the hope of Christ. God seeks to build a beautiful temple of the heart, resembling Him, through the sacred purpose of sending the blood and love of the cross. Yet, those who belong to the world and the flesh despise and oppose this holy will of God.

Thus, those who belong to the world are merely seekers of worldly things, not true Christians who pursue the love of the cross in accordance with God’s holy will. As one elder confessed, there are many churchgoers but no Christians, many pastors but no shepherds who care for the flock—this is the reality of Christianity today.
