For the past 6–8 years I’ve been hooked on end times prophecy, and so far nothing has happened. I’m starting to realize all of this has just been a distraction—just like so many other things in life. Instead of obsessing over timelines and negativity, I should have been praying, living in Christ, and letting others see His light in me. But I let it consume me. I spread fear, judgment, and even mocked others. Now I’m broken. I’m crying as I write this. I’m repenting hard for all the ways I got lost in darkness instead of walking in love. God has humbled me, and I don’t want to waste any more time chasing speculation. I just want to live in Him and reflect His love.
.
The children of God do not commit sin but are freed from sin, that they may bear the fruit of love leading to God’s holiness and grow into His divine character; this is the very purpose for which prayer exists. Yet today, within the faith of the flesh, prayer inevitably becomes nothing more than the pursuit of personal lusts, seeking only worldly happiness, blessings, and ideals that belong to the flesh. Thus, the faith of the flesh becomes an enemy and adversary before God.
The faith of Christians, who pile up sin while repenting yet turning back to commit sin again in a vicious cycle, is marked by shamelessness: they come to take their sins lightly, grow increasingly bold in their sins, and become ever more brazen and unashamed concerning their sins. Because of this, their consciences are increasingly desolate, and most are left with deprived hearts, empty hearts, anxious hearts, and faith that withers away.
Whoever continues to repeat sin is a slave of sin and a child of the devil. The form of Christians who mistakenly believe themselves to be children of God is far from being an example or model like the light and salt; rather, their faith consists of a lifetime of only teaching with words and only listening with ears. They all alike pretend to be holy, pretend to be kind, pretend to be good, pretend to be humble, and pretend to be gentle, yet their actions inside the church and outside are different, their outward appearance and inward reality are different, their words and their deeds are different. It is a duplicitous and cunning faith, filled with hypocrisy, pretension, and the polished tactics of pretense. No matter how much they awaken, resolve, and determine, they cannot be reborn, changed, or transformed, for they always turn back to pursue their own interests according to personal gain. Thus, they become enslaved within the habit of repeating sin throughout their lifetime. Such awakenings, resolutions, and determinations of believers cannot bring about true renewal, but only remain bound in the limitations of the flesh that cannot help but turn back to sin. Their faith is like squirrels running endlessly in a wheel, spinning in circles without ever escaping.
Within the life of the flesh, which cannot help but repeat sin until death, there can never exist the beautiful life that sacrifices even one’s life for Christ. Yet through darkness one comes to know light, through sin one comes to know goodness, through heresy one comes to know what is true, and by chasing after falsehood one may find the opportunity to discover the truth. Those who, through all the tears, mourning, suffering, pain, and sorrow they have endured, come to realize and follow the holy and beautiful will of God and the true truth of Christ, find that all of these things become great grace and great thanksgiving before God. The entire life of my worthless existence, stained with sin, becomes great grace. Every sin I have committed in my life becomes a treasure that produces humility. In other words, because my sins are engraved upon the tablet of my heart in such a way that I can never deny that I am a sinner before God, they have borne the fruit of humility and mercy.
Thus sin itself becomes the soil that produces humility, which follows after the beautiful love of God. In other words, the very reason for the existence of man, who cannot help but sin, is that through his sins he may be led to rely on God alone, producing humility as an act of grace. But those who, all their lives, only chase after emotional, theoretical, intellectual, or inspirational values—resolving, awakening, and determining again and again, yet turning back to repeat sin—cannot escape from the yoke of sin, where they regret and reflect in words, yet go back to commit sin once more. In short, the faith of the flesh, which follows the desires of the body that cannot help but repeat sin until death, produces nothing but the repetition of sin.
God gave us prayer so that we might abandon the flesh, which cannot help but repeat sin, and live the life of Christ—the life of the Spirit—pursuing the love of the cross to the point of laying down even His life. In other words, we are not to live a worldly and fleshly life that endlessly repeats sin born of lust and desire until death, but instead to live the life of Christ, pursuing the hope of Christ in which the power of God works through His love. The divine power is given to those who live such a life. The outcome and fruit of faith differ entirely depending on whether one lives for the world or according to the will of God.
The truth of God is not words, theories, teachings, or inspirations. The truth of God is that which leads us to obtain the mighty power of God that can put to death the habits and members of the evil fleshly nature, which otherwise compels us to repeat sin until death. The doctrines and sermons of Christianity, which resemble the forms of all religions that exalt only words and theories, causing people to rely on themselves and repeat their own awakenings, resolutions, and determinations without ever killing sin, are nothing more than human teachings and emotional words. True truth is that which leads us to obtain the power of God that surpasses human limitations, enabling us to overcome the inevitable repetition of sin even after a lifetime of awakenings, resolutions, and determinations.
God is love. The mighty power of God that is revealed within this love is the authority that destroys the sinful habits of the evil flesh, which otherwise repeats sin throughout life. The divine truth in which the power of God works to annihilate the very nature and habits of the flesh—the root of sin—is itself the power that surpasses human limitations. This is the very strength of God, which cannot be felt nor learned through a lifetime of human teachings, religious philosophies, human wisdom, or academic inspiration. It is the beautiful power of love manifested within the love of God.
But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.(Ephesians 4 : 15~16)
For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.(Titus 2 : 11~15)
Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.(Romans 6 : 16~18)
For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness. What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death. But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.(Romans 6 : 20~23)
If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.(1 Timothy 4 : 6)
All who serve God while pursuing the world and material things together are none other than antichrists—opposers and enemies before God—who cannot help but follow every form of heresy, corruption, wickedness, and falsehood. A faith that repeats sin makes anyone, without exception, a slave of sin and a child of the devil. The form of Christians who mistakenly believe themselves to be children of God is not a model nor an example like light and salt, but a faith that spends its entire life teaching only in words and listening only in words. Because they pursue their own interests according to their personal circumstances, even after a lifetime of awakenings, resolutions, and determinations, they inevitably fall back into sin and remain bound in the yoke of sin, repeating sin until death.
There is no one who truly teaches and learns the power of God that follows after His love, which sets us free from sin. Instead, most believers waste their years on nothing more than teachings and inspirations of words and theories. What you believe, for what purpose you believe, and how you believe determines your life. Whether your insignificant life until now becomes blessing and grace, or whether through repeated sin it leads to curse and judgment, depends on whether you seek the place where the fruit and evidence based on the Word of God are found, or whether you serve a religion and a church in which no fruit or evidence of Christ can ever appear. Whether you serve the man-made religions and altars that exalt only words and theories, or whether you follow the love of Christ according to God’s holy will, depends on your decision.
All believers alike end up serving churches and altars that deviate from the Word of God, thereby becoming their slaves. This is because, not being armed with the Word of God, they become slaves of heresy. The definition of heresy is that, because all who serve God while pursuing the world and material things inevitably follow only words and theories that lead to every kind of corruption, heresy, and falsehood, they cannot help but seek only their own lusts. Thus, most of them end up forcibly interpreting the Scriptures by misusing the Word, putting forward worldly lessons, worldly knowledge, and all sorts of petty and worldly justifications.
As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.(2 Peter 3 : 16~17)
He that hateth dissembleth with his lips, and layeth up deceit within him; When he speaketh fair, believe him not: for there are seven abominations in his heart.(Proverbs 26 : 24~25)
God is love. The truth is that it leads us to obtain the power of God that is revealed within this love. The true shepherd of God is the one who leads us to receive the power of God that works to put to death the fundamental habits that otherwise cause us to repeat sin.
But because people spend their whole lives chasing after teachings and inspirations that are nothing more than words, relying only on themselves, their own willpower, pride, and resolutions, they remain bound by the limitations of the flesh and inevitably continue to repeat sin. The tragic reality of Christians is that they mistake human teachings and emotional impressions for God’s grace or God’s inspiration. As their consciences grow increasingly desolate, they cannot help but live a continuous life of deprivation, emptiness, anxiety, and thirst.
He that speaketh truth sheweth forth righteousness: but a false witness deceit. There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise is health. The lip of truth shall be established for ever: but a lying tongue is but for a moment. Deceit is in the heart of them that imagine evil: but to the counsellers of peace is joy.(Proverbs 12 : 17~20)
When I would have healed Israel, then the iniquity of Ephraim was discovered, and the wickedness of Samaria: for they commit falsehood; and the thief cometh in, and the troop of robbers spoileth without. And they consider not in their hearts that I remember all their wickedness: now their own doings have beset them about; they are before my face. They make the king glad with their wickedness, and the princes with their lies. They are all adulterers, as an oven heated by the baker, who ceaseth from raising after he hath kneeded the dough, until it be leavened.(Hosea 7 : 1~4)
Then Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees. And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have taken no bread. Which when Jesus perceived, he said unto them, O ye of little faith, why reason ye among yourselves, because ye have brought no bread? Do ye not yet understand, neither remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets ye took up? Neither the seven loaves of the four thousand, and how many baskets ye took up? How is it that ye do not understand that I spake it not to you concerning bread, that ye should beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees? Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.(Matthew 16 : 6~12)
Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us: Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.(1 Corinthians 5 : 7~8)
Cease, my son, to hear the instruction that causeth to err from the words of knowledge. An ungodly witness scorneth judgment: and the mouth of the wicked devoureth iniquity. Judgments are prepared for scorners, and stripes for the back of fools.(Proverbs 19 : 27~29)
He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctines the commandments of men. For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do. And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.(Mark 7 : 6~9)
But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.(2 Peter 2 : 1~3)
Every pastor who teaches by exalting emotional words and human teachings is a false shepherd who denies the love of Christ that follows after the power of God, for where the power of God does not work, they can only teach falsehood, heresy, and corruption. The teachings and inspirations of words are like leavened dough that inevitably perishes, temporarily leading believers to think that all their hopes will soon be fulfilled. With smooth speech and flattery they present themselves as though they were children of God in whom blessing and peace are at work, while at the same time using hell and judgment to drive people with fear and oppression.
This is the true reality of Christianity: it does not know the true gifts in which the power of God works. Instead, it teaches and learns divinations and sorceries that summon demons, treating them as though they were the Holy Spirit or spiritual gifts. Christianity, reeking with every stench of rottenness and corruption, is nothing more than a religion made by man; therefore, it can never surpass the limits of man, who cannot help but repeat sin until death.
Christians do not serve the will of God or the love of Christ. Instead, they deify and idolize churches and altars of human construction that deviate from the Word of God, thereby serving falsehood, corruption, heresy, and lies that stand as enemies and opposers of the Scriptures. Most churches and pastors deviate from the Word of God. In a world where even those who cannot remove the beam from their own eye, repeating sin themselves, teach and are taught, it is a false spirit masquerading as the Holy Spirit that leads, crying “spiritual” without living the life of Christ, the life of the Spirit.
First, equip yourself with eyes and ears that see and hear rightly. Do not believe anything that departs from the Word of God. In order not to be deceived any longer, you must be armed with the Word of God. If you believe recklessly, guided by your emotions, your own thoughts, and your own standards, the result will only be more miserable. Truth is power. It is not the soft and gentle inspirations of words and teachings that lead only to the repetition of sin. Truth is that which leads us to obtain the power of God revealed in His love.
Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying, This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. And he called the multitude, and said unto them, Hear, and understand: Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man. Then came his disciples, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Pharisees were offended, after they heard this saying? But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up. Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.(Matthew 15 : 7~14)
…Woe unto you, ye blind guides, which say, Whosoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but whosoever shall swear by the gold of the temple, he is a debtor! Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gold, or the temple that sanctifieth the gold? And, Whosoever shall swear by the altar, it is nothing; but whosoever sweareth by the gift that is upon it, he is guilty. Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gift, or the altar that sanctifieth the gift? Whoso therefore shall swear by the altar, sweareth by it, and by all things thereon. And whoso shall swear by the temple, sweareth by it, and by him that dwelleth therein. And he that shall swear by heaven, sweareth by the throne of God, and by him that sitteth thereon. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess. Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also….(Matthew 23 : 6~24 : 2)
What is most important is not serving churches and altars, but seeking the truth that leads us to obtain the power of love which follows after the love of God.
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.(2 Corinthians 10 : 3~6)
For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.(1 Corinthians 4 : 20)
…Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.(2 Thessalonians 2 : 3~12)
