Seeking Understanding Through Prayer and Scripture
Quote from shocomi@naver.com on 2026-03-06, 4:42 amWe all need to pray for God's will, whatever it may be, even when it is difficult for us to understand. The important thing is to seek to know Him, to pray for guidance, and to place our hope in what Jesus has done for humanity through the cross.
No one can fully know God's plans or the way His judgment will unfold, but we can continue to seek Him sincerely and ask for the Spirit to lead us into understanding.
I am interested in learning more about this message, but I do not know enough yet to make any judgment about it.
For now, I will continue to read, pray, and seek understanding, trusting that God will lead me as close to the truth as possible.

Quote from Lovingkindness on 2026-03-06, 5:19 amSister.. The form of those who serve God with mere emotions cannot but waver before sin. What preserves the steadfastness of longing for God is His Word. It is written that the Word is God. This means that we must believe in, rely on, and follow the Word. A person who has received the Spirit of God comes to comprehend all things concerning God. Yet, on this earth, I have never seen a person who possesses this truth of God’s complete understanding. For more than a decade, I have lived together with those who believe in me and follow me, and in every place and circumstance of life, I share with them God’s wisdom and truth. Each time, the answers I deliver become a great blessing to those who ask. For truth contains the love and authority of God.
But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.(1 Corinthians 2 : 10)
But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.(1 John 2 : 27)
Who hath directed the Spirit of the LORD, or being his counseller hath taught him? With whom took he counsel, and who instructed him, and taught him in the path of judgment, and taught him knowledge, and shewed to him the way of understanding?(Isaiah 40 : 13~14)
But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.(1 John 2 : 20)
Today many believers want only warmth, consolation, and comfort for themselves. But.. The way of the cross is a path of suffering, of pain, of tears, and of hardship. Most people exclude this and simply seek a God who looks after them, cares for them, loves them, embraces them, and comforts them alone. This denies the way of Christ. The true Christian way comes with suffering and sacrifice. It grows deeper, wider, and greater through many tears, many wounds, and much hardship. Following Christ is not merely an emotional longing for God. It is not expressing love with words of the heart but demonstrating love through deeds; human love does not contain the tears necessary even to love one’s enemies. To receive tears that love even enemies, you must risk your life in prayer.
Whenever I go to pray with the believers, I say we are going to die rather than saying we are going to pray — because only when I cry out to God with the resolve to die can I receive an answer from the Almighty God. It is not a few minutes’ or a few hours’ prayer; it is the tears of crying out all night and the desperate prayer until dawn. Those who do not make Christ’s hope their goal cannot obtain such deep prayer. When the limits of prayer come, they cannot break through them.
And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure. Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.(1 John 3 : 3~4)
Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God:(Psalms 146 : 5)
By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.(Romans 5 : 2~10)
I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;(Ephesians 4 : 1~4)
And again, Esaias saith, There shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles trust. Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.(Romans 15 : 12~13)
For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.(Titus 3 : 3~7)
But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness. For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come. This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation. For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe. These things command and teach. Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity. Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery. Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all. Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.(1 Timothy 4 : 7~16)
Those who set their hope on Christ can receive God’s answer, but faith that follows the world and the flesh cannot feel, see, or hear God’s working response. The many believers who claim they have received an answer from God are telling a blatant lie. What they experience is the product of their own delusion and thoughts, not a response from God. Only in prayers and tears so desperate that you would die—only in earnest supplication when your tears run dry—can you hear God’s answer. Those who serve God while also clinging to the world and material things will inevitably repeat sin until death.
Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright. For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.(Hebrews 12 : 16~17)
The tears and prayers of these sinners, like Esau, only seek blessings from the world and fail to bring forth true repentance. In the same way, all Christians today believe in God for the sake of their own blessings, success, lusts, and prosperity. This is nothing but the god of desire, the god of material wealth, the god of the world, and the god of the flesh disguising themselves as though they were God. Such prayers and such faith are not the ones in which God answers, directs, or leads. All of this is written in the Bible, yet because they do not read the Scriptures, they cannot know that this is the Word of God. It is like a blind man grabbing hold of an elephant’s tail and saying, “This is the elephant.”
It is crucial to realize how much one is biased by personal opinion, partial in one’s own standards, and centered not on the Word of Scripture but on oneself. The way to receive God’s truth according to His Word begins with denying oneself and casting away one’s own thoughts, judgments, and standards before God.
Even so, I am truly thankful before God that I can share His Word with you, even in this small way.
