I wonder why God allowed certain things to happen to me. Don’t come saying it was for my good. After all, these things hinder me from being a good Christian. I didn’t have a good childhood and teenhood. Actually, pretty bad things happened, things that haunt me even to this day. There are days I only want to be abed, or die (I have already asked God to remove me), and I do not truly forgive certain wrongdoings of other people. I have many anxieties and fears, I do not trust easily and I do not even see appeal in having a family born out of me. It wasn’t natural, my family failed me. I do not want to go into deets for it is pretty sensitive. I can’t even see good in what I suffered for some sins of mine come from this spoiled brain and mechanism defenses (wrath, gluttony, unforgiveness…). I do not know if I can ever be brought together one day. I do not know if I may go to Heaven give my limitations as a human being. Ah oh, therapist and physicians has already diagnosed me. It is not me analizing myself. There is life in Christ for people who didn’t had a good life? It is easy to be a good Christian when you don’t suffer things like this.

The children of God do not commit sin, but are set free from sin to obtain the fruit of love that leads to God’s holiness, and by prayer they receive the power of God in order to partake of His divine nature. Yet today, within the faith of the flesh, prayer is nothing but an automatic pursuit of happiness, blessing, and ideals that belong to the world and to the flesh, according to one’s own lusts. Thus, all faith that is of the flesh inevitably becomes an enemy and adversary before God.
Today all Christians alike, even while repenting, inevitably heap up sin within the vicious cycle of turning back again to commit sin, for theirs is a fleshly faith. Without realizing it, they come to take their sins more and more lightly, to grow bolder and bolder in their sins, and even further, to become increasingly shameless and brazen concerning their sins. Thus, most pastors and believers alike are becoming monsters through such a shameless faith. They are armed only with an outward appearance of pretending to be good, to be kind, to be holy, and to be humble, yet in reality their conduct inside and outside the church differs, their outward appearance and inward reality differ, and their words and deeds differ. This cunning way of life and detestable double-mindedness only serve to pile up more sin. As a result, because their consciences become increasingly desolate, their fleshly faith only produces ever greater depravation of heart, emptiness of heart, anxiety of heart, and dryness of heart.
Hold yourself up to the Word as to a mirror and examine closely what you truly are. Some, through the repetition of sin, desperately and earnestly come to recognize themselves as sinners, knowing that they cannot help but always repeat sin. But there are far too many whose faith is already becoming monstrous, unable even to feel the pangs of conscience. Christians are by no means true Christians. They are merely religionists—no different from Judaism—who, living according to the sins of the flesh no differently than worldly people, despise the holy will of God and dishonor the love of the cross, and are therefore bound for judgment. In other words, just as those who claimed to believe in God have always become His greatest adversaries, so today those who claim to be Christians have become the greatest enemies and opponents before God and before the love of Christ.
Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him. Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.(1 John 3 : 6~10)
Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.(Romans 6 : 16~18)
God gave us prayer so that we might abandon the flesh, which cannot help but repeat sin, and live the life of Christ—the life of the Spirit—pursuing the love of the cross to the point of laying down even His life. In other words, we are not to live a worldly and fleshly life that endlessly repeats sin born of lust and desire until death, but instead to live the life of Christ, pursuing the hope of Christ in which the power of God works through His love. The divine power is given to those who live such a life. In other words, truth is that which leads us to obtain the divine power that surpasses the limits of man—who cannot help but commit sin until death—so that, through the power of love that follows after God’s love, we may be born again, changed, and transformed. A lifetime of sermons that stir only awakenings, resolutions, and determinations by words and theories can never put an end to repeated sin. The outcome of faith depends on whether you live according to the world or according to the will of God.
For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.(Titus 2 : 11~15)
But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.(Ephesians 4 : 15~16)
For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness. What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death. But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.(Romans 6 : 20~23)
If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.(1 Timothy 4 : 6)
Whoever continues to repeat sin is a slave of sin and a child of the devil. The form of Christians who mistakenly believe themselves to be children of God is far from being an example or model like the light and salt; rather, their faith consists of a lifetime of only teaching with words and only listening with ears. They all alike pretend to be holy, pretend to be kind, pretend to be good, pretend to be humble, and pretend to be gentle, yet their actions inside the church and outside are different, their outward appearance and inward reality are different, their words and their deeds are different. It is a duplicitous and cunning faith, filled with hypocrisy, pretension, and the polished tactics of pretense. No matter how much they awaken, resolve, and determine, they cannot be reborn, changed, or transformed, for they always turn back to pursue their own interests according to personal gain. Thus, they become enslaved within the habit of repeating sin throughout their lifetime. Such awakenings, resolutions, and determinations of believers cannot bring about true renewal, but only remain bound in the limitations of the flesh that cannot help but turn back to sin. Their faith is like squirrels running endlessly in a wheel, spinning in circles without ever escaping.
The children of God, by following the love of Christ and aiming for the life of Christ within the hope of Christ, are supplied with the love of God that works in them. Through the divine power that surpasses the limits of man—who cannot escape the instincts, members, habits, and limitations of the flesh—they are led by the authority of God, which utterly destroys the habits of sin that otherwise would be endlessly repeated, and thus are set free from sin. For this reason, the children of God are led into a life in which they do not commit sin. If the above Word has not been fulfilled in one’s life, it is evidence that there is no fruit or proof of Christ’s love. The fact that sin continues to be repeated shows that one is not a child of God but a child of the devil. It is only that God oversees and leads one so that they might become a child of God, but in reality, they are not true Christians following the love of Christ—they are merely religious people who serve God while pursuing the world and material things together. Therefore, no matter what god religious people claim to believe in, they can never obtain the divine power that surpasses human limitations, and thus they can only continue to repeat sin until death. Everything is determined by what I believe for and what I live for. Those who serve God while pursuing the world and material things cannot help but follow corruption, heresy, and falsehood, and therefore they all seek only their own lusts. This is why most of them forcibly interpret the Scriptures, putting forward worldly lessons, worldly knowledge, and all sorts of petty worldly justifications while misusing the Word. God is love.
That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words. For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ. As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.(Colossians 2 : 2~9)
Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances, (Touch not; taste not; handle not; Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men? Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body; not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh.(Colossians 2 : 20~23)
But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage? Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years. I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain.(Galatians 4 : 9~11)
Truth is that which leads us to obtain the power of God revealed within His love. The true shepherd of God is the one who leads us to receive the power of God that works to put to death the fundamental habits that otherwise compel us to repeat sin.
But because they spend their entire lives chasing after teachings and inspirations that are nothing more than words—relying only on themselves, their own zeal, pride, and resolutions—they remain bound by the limitations of the flesh, and thus inevitably repeat sin. The tragic reality of Christians is that they mistake human teachings and emotional impressions for God’s grace or God’s inspiration. As their consciences grow increasingly desolate, they cannot help but live lives filled with continual poverty, emptiness, anxiety, and thirst.
Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.….(2 Thessalonians 2 : 9~17)
We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.(1 John 3 : 14)
Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.(3 John 1 : 11)
But now ye rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil. Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.(James 4 : 16~17)
If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?(1 John 4 : 20)
To put forth one’s own opinion before the Scriptures is no different from acting as though one were God. A faith that relies only on words and theories—intellectual, theoretical, emotional, and academic—is merely a faith of the flesh, bound to commit sin until death. The fact that one’s sins are repeated is clear evidence that such a person is a slave of sin and a child of the devil. The children of God do not commit sin. Whoever denies this denies the love of God in which His power works.
For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.(Romans 8 : 13)
I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.(Romans 7 : 25)
But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.(Romans 13 : 14)
But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities…(2 Peter 2 : 10~22)
For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.(Romans 8 : 5~7)
Those who claim to believe in God while pursuing the world and the flesh only put forward the name of God, yet they are the very ones who deny the love of Christ and refuse to submit. Those who cannot put to death the evil habits and members that follow the desires of the flesh become lifelong slaves of sin, repeating nothing but sin. Do not any longer be deceived by sermons that exalt nothing but words and theories, which cannot surpass the limits of the flesh, and thus bind you to a lifetime cycle of sin. Judgment is at hand.
They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.(Titus 1 : 16)
Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.(2 Timothy 3 : 5~8)
I have taught my children from an early age that if your father ever departs from the Word of God, you must abandon me and leave. Instead of the abundant liberality and overflowing thanksgiving that are grounded in the Word of God, Christians today live lives that are increasingly worn out and burdened by worldly living. The reason their hearts become increasingly deprived, their spirits increasingly empty, and their faith increasingly thirsty is because their consciences are becoming ever more desolate.
If you truly desire to fill this desolate conscience with abundant liberality and overflowing thanksgiving in the love of God, then you must take up your cross with the resolve to die, and, following the hope of Christ—which aims at the life of Christ—come to this place where you can receive the power of God. Only this way can one escape from the path of a sinner.
I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran: I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied. But if they had stood in my counsel, and had caused my people to hear my words, then they should have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings.(Jeremiah 23 : 17~22)
Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him; Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.(James 5 : 19~20)
And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.(Daniel 12 : 3)
My covenant was with him of life and peace; and I gave them to him for the fear wherewith he feared me, and was afraid before my name. The law of truth was in his mouth, and iniquity was not found in his lips: he walked with me in peace and equity, and did turn many away from iniquity.(Malachi 2 : 5~6)
