But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.(1 Corinthians 2 : 14)
Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.(1 John 2 : 15~17)
The Holy Spirit can never dwell in those who, following the world and the flesh, remain bound to the path of sinners—constantly repeating sin and repentance without ever being truly born again, only continuing in sin.
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of truth who comprehends all things, the Spirit of the Almighty God who created all creation. Yet, many claim to possess this all-knowing, all-powerful Spirit who comprehends and created everything.
But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.(1 Corinthians 2 : 10)
But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.(1 John 2 : 27)
Who hath directed the Spirit of the LORD, or being his counseller hath taught him? With whom took he counsel, and who instructed him, and taught him in the path of judgment, and taught him knowledge, and shewed to him the way of understanding?(Isaiah 40 : 13~14)
But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.(1 John 2 : 20)
But one thing is clear: if the so-called Holy Spirit they claim to possess is not accompanied by fruits and evidence according to the Word, then it is a false spirit. And such a claim dishonors the Spirit of God, profanes the holy name of the Lord, and stands as the greatest form of pride, enmity, and opposition to God—it is antichrist.
Nevertheless, the teachings and learning of countless churches, pastors, and believers today have already far surpassed such limits. There is no evidence or fruit of the Holy Spirit—nothing exemplary or worthy of imitation—only inflated words and claims, with no real proof that they have received the Spirit of God.
All they have is their own drive and conviction, their own resolutions, determinations, and self-pride arising from their flesh. But the Holy Spirit, prophecy, tongues, power, and gifts of God can never arise from the desires of the flesh and blood. Because the self-pride, will, passion, determination, and awakening that come from the flesh can never eliminate sin.
Rather than pursuing the gifts of God’s power that alone can bring true rebirth and transformation, they trust in their own will, drive, conviction, and pride—which only lead them to repeat sin endlessly—and mistake that trust in themselves as faith, as the Holy Spirit, as power. Such an attitude has already crossed the boundary of pride. The teacher becomes deified and turns into a cult-like figure, and it has become a world filled with counterfeits created by lies and force, to the extent that true evidence of the Holy Spirit, faith, power, and spiritual gifts is nowhere to be found.
This is the result of human-centered knowledge and argumentation. The very idea of serving both the world and material wealth alongside God is the greatest heresy before Him, the most terrifying corruption, and the gravest opposition and enmity toward God—yet few believers realize this.
Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts. Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.(James 4 : 3~4)
No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.(Matthew 6 : 24)
This is because the foundation of their faith is not the Word itself, but what they have learned and heard from pastors based on human knowledge, worldly common sense, and personal opinions. They regard these teachings as if they are one and the same with the Word of God and true faith. Their belief in God is merely a tool to achieve their own worldly desires, ideals, and ambitions. That is why countless believers inevitably end up following distorted and heretical teachings—trying to serve both the world and God, seeking both material gain and salvation.
When faith exists solely to pursue worldly desires and dreams, only seeking success and happiness, it becomes a belief rooted in blessings for worldly prosperity. This leads to a faith that merely repeats meaningless repentance, unable to bring true rebirth, endlessly accumulating sin according to self-interest. It becomes a faith that believes in God only for the sake of acquiring things that will eventually rot and disappear—a belief that stands against the love of the cross by pursuing personal comfort, pleasure, and happiness.
Such faith does not set its hope and goal on the eternal, imperishable life of Christ but on fleeting, worldly success and satisfaction. It remains on the path of sin where repentance is repeated in vain, unable to bring rebirth. This is the kind of repentance and powerless faith that many churches today teach—a faith without the Holy Spirit, without true transformation, one that endlessly repeats sin. Many churches and pastors have spread powers and prophecies like those of shamans and fortune-tellers across the earth.
Without the first love of faith, these so-called church leaders and elders are but hollow shells of office—those who remain bound in sin, repeating empty repentance that brings no change. And yet, they are proclaimed as having been forgiven, born again, and saved. In doing so, they silence the voice of conscience in true believers and promote a forced spirit and false spiritual gifts. This is what most churches and pastors teach today.
Having damnation, because they have cast off their first faith.(1 Timothy 5 : 12)
As more people take on roles and responsibilities in the church, their hearts become more weary and burdened, because their service is driven only by human effort and ambition. This leads to growing arguments, divisions, and exhaustion. The number of believers who feel burned out and disillusioned by their church roles and service continues to rise. Yet there is no beautiful example or model led by the power of tongues that truly eliminates the sins of envy, jealousy, strife, lust, pride, hatred, and falsehood, or that produces the love of the cross.
Instead, they justify their own growing sins with excuses, stubbornness, and lies, disguising false spiritual practices and magical rituals as if they were the true power of God’s tongues. This is what many churches and pastors are spreading throughout the world.
