was thinking earlier that when Jesus died he went into hell and gave those folks a chance at salvation –correct ? How did those people before Jesus’ time end up in hell ? The old testament was around but there were no printing presses to reproduce the old testament and distribute to society. How did the word get spread back then ? How would people end up in hell if they knew no better ?

The reason such absurd questions arise is that Christian pastors and Catholic priests are all teaching based on human delusions that are not found in the Bible. There is a passage recorded that states Christ was written about in Moses’ writings.
And as touching the dead, that they rise: have ye not read in the book of Moses, how in the bush God spake unto him, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?(Mark 12 : 26)
The content of the question is proof that, because pastors are only teaching absurd, fabricated words that are not in the Bible, and because believers and teachers each teach differently, heresies upon heresies are springing up like weeds even within Christianity today.
Christ came to this earth to testify to God’s love. The sign of the love of the cross is this: “If you also practice the love of the cross by laying down your life for your brothers, you will attain the glory of resurrection with Me, just as I have.”
For those who believe in God only for the sake of worldly happiness, success, and love—just like the people of the world who only live for themselves—such teachings and emotions are merely human inspiration and sentiment. This falsehood was created simply to make people believe in God for the purpose of living well, eating well, and being happy. Only those who do the will of God can enter the kingdom of heaven, and only those who possess God’s nature meet the conditions to enter. The nature of God is love, mercy, joy, gentleness, peace, goodness, self-control, and patience. Those who do not have the divine nature of the Holy Spirit cannot enter the kingdom of heaven.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. (Galatians 5 : 22-23)
To attain this divine nature, one must forsake worldly things. Only by letting go of worldly things can one follow the love of the cross. The Bible says that being attached to the world, to the flesh, and to worldly worries leads to death, yet people continuously seek after worldly concerns. Health problems, business problems, job problems, relationship problems, family problems, children’s problems—these are the same prayers and desires as those of people who belong to the world. Their ideals and definitions of happiness are no different. This only proves that they are attached to worldly things and bound to the flesh. As a result, they live a faith that endlessly repeats the cycle of sinning, repenting, turning back, and then sinning again. They believe in Christ while following the desires of the flesh, trying to serve both God and material wealth at the same time. Because of this, they have brought disgrace to God’s name and have become even less than worms.
Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. (1 John 2 : 15-17)
No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.(Matthew 6 : 24-25)
Therefore, the attitude of Christians is that of those who seek worldly things, bringing disgrace to God, standing in opposition to Him, and becoming His enemies.
Therefore, the attitude of Christians is that of those who seek worldly things, bringing disgrace to God, standing in opposition to Him, and becoming His enemies.(James 4 : 3-4)
Therefore, Christians are not truly followers of Christ. They cannot be an example or a model like the light and salt of the world. They are trapped in a lifelong cycle of sin, unable to put to death their sinful habits or their fleshly desires, because they have not received God’s power. Instead, they only listen to sermons filled with emotional words—teachings that merely inspire temporary awakenings, resolutions, and commitments that ultimately mean nothing. For their entire lives, they are awakened, determined, and resolved by pastors’ sermons, yet as soon as they turn away, they fall back into sin. Because they cannot rid themselves of their sinful habits and desires, they inevitably repeat sin throughout their lives. This is the state of today’s Christians, and for such Christians, salvation cannot exist. Only those who live the life of Christ—the true Christians—can be saved. It is written that only those who long for the life of the conscience(Spirit) will be made pure.
And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure. Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him. Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.(1 John 3 : 3-9)
Only those who pursue the love of Christ and set their hope on Christ’s promise can attain salvation. Those who spend their entire lives focused on worldly matters—such as family problems, business problems, and job problems—are not true Christians. Christians who live according to the desires of the flesh, seeking only their own wants, greed, and lust, are the greatest enemies of God.
